Newborn Support Group

“It’s a Baby, Now What Do I Do?” is a support group for parents of newborns held every Tuesday. The group is a place to share concerns, questions, and experiences about newborns and infants up to three months of age. Laurie Rubel, APRN, IBCLC a certified lactation consultant leads the group. Parents also learn from each other and exchange tips. Favorite topics include sleep, colic, infant crying, and feedings. Laurie also works with our nursing mothers on an individual basis.

The newborn group is a wonderful time to meet new parents. The group is a bonding experience; mothers (and fathers too!) often meet outside of class to socialize.

There is no charge and no appointment is necessary. Please bring your infant to group!

3-6 Month Zone

This group meets depending on demand. We would love to host this group, please let us know if you are interested.

Topics for “The 3 to 6 Month Zone” include introducing solid foods, emerging sleep habits, stages of development, safety measures, and discussions of age-appropriate activities. While an infant’s emerging social and communication skills make this a magical age, parents often find just when they thought they had their newborns figured out … they change! While this paradox of a growing baby may raise questions and offers challenges, it is also confirmation that your child is developing.
