Rachel Sheiman, MD, FAAP

As a mother of two children, I integrate my experiences as a parent in the understanding of my patients, parents and their feelings.  I recognize how stressful parenting can be and treat all my patients as I would my own children.  Having practiced pediatrics for 16 years, I incorporate my knowledge of the field with my compassion for others.  It is truly a privilege to care for children, be an intimate part of the family and watch them grow.  That is what sets pediatrics apart from all other fields of medicine and what drew me to this specialty.

As a graduate of Trumbull High School and long time resident of Fairfield, I have a strong connection to the Fairfield County community.  In addition to medicine, I love spending time with my children and doing all the “mommy things” like watching soccer, little league and attending school activities.  I also have a passion for running and enjoy hiking.

I am thrilled to be part of the Willows team and look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence in pediatric care for infants, children and adolescents.
