Appointments & Scheduling

The telephone is a vital link between our families and us, and we want to make your “calling in” experiences as efficient and helpful as possible. Our regular office hours are from 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday; please call during those hours to schedule any type of appointment. When you call, please listen carefully to the recording for all of your options. If you have a true medical emergency, press 8 and your call will be answered immediately. Otherwise, please follow the directions which will give you the choices needed to make appointments for checkups or sick visits, speak to a nurse, renew medication, or leave a message for your doctor or physician assistant.

Sick Visits

Please call for sick visit appointments as soon as possible after 8:30 am.  If you know you would like your child seen, calling early will give you the most options for appointment times. Please call for throat culture results after 8:45 am.

Well Care

Please call to make checkup appointments after 10:00 am Monday through Friday.  We encourage parents of school age children and adolescents to make checkup appointments well in advance, especially if you plan on coming in during the spring and summer months.

Prescription Renewals

To renew medications, please call between 10 am and 4:30 pm, follow the prompts and leave as much information as possible. You may also contact your pharmacy for renewals; they will then contact our office.

Evenings and Weekends

Mondays thru Thursdays we in our office from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm – “After Hours” – to answer questions over the phone and see children who need to be seen.  We are also open Saturday mornings and early Sunday mornings to answer questions over the phone and see children who need to be seen.   If you have a question or concern about a sick child or a health problem on the weekend, please call in as soon as possible after 8:30 am.  Please note that the phone message you hear if you call after 5:00 pm on weekdays and on weekend mornings will be different than during regular hours – simply listen and follow the prompts to speak to our receptionist.

In the evenings and weekends, there is an additional charge for your child to be seen. Most insurance companies recognize and reimburse for this added service, but we recommend that you check with your insurance carrier.

Consultations

There are times when it is helpful to meet with parents who are expecting, or parents with or without their child, before or after regular office hours. These visits are scheduled as consultations. If you would like to schedule a consultation, please call during regular office hours and we will set up a time for you to come in.
