Welcome to our first Willows Pediatric Group blog! As part of our new website, we have decided to start publishing a weekly blog for our patients and their families.

Why a blog for a medical practice? First of all, it’s a quick and easy way for us to pass on new information to the families in our practice. So, if we see a new recommendation on the AAP website or read an interesting journal article, we’ll be able to share it with you—quickly—in a clear and concise manner.

In addition, we hope that our blogs will provide an opportunity for our patients to have virtual conversations. After we’ve posted our entry, there will be a place for you to “comment.” Feel free to share with us—and with the others reading the blog—your thoughts, concerns, questions or tips related to the topic at hand. If, for example, we’re blogging about nutrition, post your best “tips” on getting your children to eat vegetables.

Willows blog entries will cover a broad spectrum of topics, from baby care to adolescence and everything in between. We may write about a behavioral issue one week and a safety recommendation the next. Whether it’s skin care, ear infections or asthma, we will strive to make our posts relevant and interesting. Next week’s blog topic will be water safety.

So, please visit our website weekly to see what’s on our blog and to tell us what’s on your mind! We encourage you to read our posts, comment on them … and share them with your friends and families. And if there’s a topic you’d like us to address, just let us know. We, the doctors at Willows, are committed to providing you with the most up to date information and knowledge about pediatric care.

We hope you will enjoy reading the Willows blog! As always, stay healthy and safe!
